If the original plastic part fails, you do not have even a single-shot carbine and the gun is totally disabled. This upgraded part is made of bronze and it will last forever. As many of you may know, the use of bronze in firearms reaches back to the first firearms ever produced because the metal is so tough and corrosion resistant.

This part is very simply installed and is included with our steel guide-rod kit upgrade.
